Looks like we are in for a hurricane this week-end. I just spent 1h putting the shutters back up … in the rain 🙁
This system went from a disorganized system to a potential category 2 storm in very little time. The projected path is just south of Grand Cayman.
As I mentioned in my previous post, its been raining a lot recently. I took some pictures with my Blackberry this afternoon. Here is the street we use to go to the shopping center near our place. Flooded with a few inches of water.
Here is a guy building a house. (not the one next to our place) He’ll have to stop that for a while until all the water disappears. May take a while!.
This should give you an idea of how much water there is on the street! A good 3 or so inches at that location. To take this picture, I actually leaned out of the car with the door open, trying not to drop the Blackberry and also making sure I did not fall in. Anyone watching must have though I was crazy!
More updates probably in the morning!

This is not good news! So late into the season you would think that it was all over! Stay safe and keep us posted through the weekend.
Hey guys…in case you don’t recall Ivan was Nov 4th. We have learned not to expect this season to be over until it’s late Dec.
@Jodi
Ivan was September 11th, 2004 😉
