In the last week or so we have been getting lots of rain. Not all day rain, but lots of isolated showers like in my previous post. Today it rained so hard that I postponed lunch with a colleague for 15 minutes. When we left the building there was a bit of drizzle and by the time we got to the place it was nice and sunny again.
Later in the afternoon this scenario repeated itself. However, got a great sight from my office building … a full rainbow. Very nice!
Now, all of this rain has to go somewhere and do something. Here is a perfect example of what water mixed with very warm weather can do which is not to far from where we live. This house is under construction and has been “inactive” for a while. My guess is that they are waiting for some more money and they will resume construction at that time.
However, what was a perfectly cleared front lawn and drive path, is now a sort of overgrown jungle. It would essentially be impossible to go in there with a car and not get it terribly scratched. A heavy duty weed whacker would be needed. In a few weeks (or less …) I would expect not to see the house at all from the road.
On the storm/hurricane front, nothing at all. Essentially, every system so far has either fizzed away or turned north a few hundred miles before the Caribbean basin.
