I doubt many locals actually do this : walk the whole 7-mile beach from one end to the other.<\/p>\n<p>This morning, along with Julie &amp; my in-laws, we started just north of George Town, near Treasure Island condo&#8217;s where the beach starts all the way to West Bay public beach. We were armed with plenty of water and sunscreen lotion.<\/p>\n<p>Below is what we walked ; from the lower point to the one near the top.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-818\" title=\"7mile\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/7mile.jpg\" alt=\"7mile\" width=\"485\" height=\"420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/7mile.jpg 485w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/7mile-300x259.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 485px) 100vw, 485px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Most of the beach is pristine sand, simply a gorgeous beach. Near West Bay it gets rocky sometimes.\u00a0 Its actually quite pretty if you ask me.\u00a0 Beware though, its slippery! West Bay public beach. Very pretty place.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-816\" title=\"img_6960\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/img_6960.jpg\" alt=\"img_6960\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/img_6960.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/12\/img_6960-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It took us 2h45 minutes from one end to the other walking a &#8220;medium&#8221; pace with two short stops for swims to cool off and to drink water. Very easy to get dehydrated in this climate.\u00a0 At a brisk pace and with plenty of water it could probably be done in +-2h, but what&#8217;s the rush &#8230; such a pretty beach.<\/p>\n<p>One final picture I took in West Bay &#8230; an orange Iguana.
