For the last few weeks, it would seem that rainy season is here perpetually.\u00a0 Then we got TS Dolly which left us with 8 inches of rain and then it seems to rain everyday a few minutes or so.<\/p>\n<p>About Dolly.\u00a0 Julie &amp; I were sitting at the airport on the morning she visited Cayman.\u00a0 I remember looking outside at the Boeing 737 and thinking we were not going anywhere that day ; it was raining very hard and windy.\u00a0 Then, the weather died down *a bit* and they had us board the plane in small groups of 15-20 people. It was like out of &#8220;the A-team&#8221; &#8230; the group made a dash to the plane in the rain and as soon as one was group in, the next followed.\u00a0 As soon as everyone was sitting, the pilot got us on our way in a jiffy before the wind picked up again!\u00a0 Once off the ground, I have never seen a pilot take such a steep climb angle ; he wanted out of that storm and fast!<\/p>\n<p>After some rain just last week-end &#8230; the gap between our house and next door had about 2&#8243; of water.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5774.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-439\" title=\"img_5774\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5774.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5774.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5774-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here is the backyard partially flooded. The vacant lot next to the house was completely flooded.\u00a0 There are masses of mosquitoes at night now with all the standing water.\u00a0 Not fun to take the dog for a walk. \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5776.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-440\" title=\"img_5776\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5776.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5776.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5776-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is typical &#8230; dark clouds, raining and sunny at the same time. It seems that these clouds just roll by, dump massive amounts of water and 10 minutes later its nice again.\u00a0 I washed the car on Sunday &#8230; its already dirty again. For the next while I will probably stick to only cleaning the inside.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5777.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-441\" title=\"img_5777\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5777.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5777.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5777-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, we had our office beach party.\u00a0 We almost did not go.\u00a0 It was raining all morning in Savannah and figured the beach would be the same.\u00a0 I then got a message from a friend who lives not to far from the beach and she told me that not a drop of rain had fallen all day in that area ; go figure!\u00a0 Here is the smoking BBQ with fabulous burgers &amp; ribs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5784.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-442\" title=\"img_5784\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5784.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5784.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/img_5784-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Finally, since it was a family beach party, we took our Husky Aipa with us!\u00a0 She definitely enjoyed sharing a hamburger with me and all the attention she got from everyone there.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/n593086668_1085997_6470.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-443\" title=\"n593086668_1085997_6470\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/n593086668_1085997_6470.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"453\" height=\"604\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/n593086668_1085997_6470.jpg 453w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/07\/n593086668_1085997_6470-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 453px) 100vw, 453px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230; that is the question!
