YAY. \u00a0Last year we had a whale of a time (pun intended) so we decided we had to go again.<\/p>\n<p>Brilliant day to be on the ocean. \u00a0Fairly calm and of course nice and sunny.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/IMG_0950-001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3020\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/IMG_0950-001.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0950-001\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/IMG_0950-001.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/IMG_0950-001-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here is what was used to catch the fish. \u00a0A large hook, some &#8220;decoration&#8221; and a sort of fish used at bait. \u00a0There are about 5 lines out in the water behind the moving boat. \u00a0Most are following behind I estimate at 400-500ft back ; so not too close to the boat.<\/p>\n<p>We actually snagged a Marlin at one point &#8230; it jumped twice but got unhooked. \u00a0The Captain estimated that it was +-150lbs in size. \u00a0Would have been great to see it up close. Once again we went with Slackem Charters (<a href=\"http:\/\/slackemcharters.com\/\">www.slackem.com<\/a>). \u00a0A great bunch; we had lots of fun. \u00a0I highly recommend them for Deep sea fishing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/IMG_0964-001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3017\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/IMG_0964-001.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0964-001\" width=\"360\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/IMG_0964-001.jpg 360w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/IMG_0964-001-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 360px) 100vw, 360px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last year our captain took us out of the North Sound and along the North Side and beyond East End (up and right) \u00a0This year we went West, all the way out to &#8220;12 Mile Banks&#8221;. \u00a0So 12-miles out, almost straight out from Seven Mile beach there is a another Cayman Island. \u00a0In fact another Cayman Island that did not make it to the surface millions of years ago when the islands were formed. \u00a0The ocean goes from 3000-6000 ft deep to just over 100ft deep.
