We have not has a tropical storm or the likes, just lots and lots of rain. \u00a0More of less 5 inches on Wednesday and then another 3 inches on Friday. \u00a0Flooding ensued in many places. \u00a0Of course, people who have cisterns at their homes will be happy. \u00a0Swimming pools are also nice and full.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the system that is affecting the area. \u00a0See that big red blob on the middle-left? Had a massive claw.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG-20150606-00452.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2947\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG-20150606-00452.jpg\" alt=\"IMG-20150606-00452\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG-20150606-00452.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG-20150606-00452-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ok here is very interesting part of the story. \u00a0I actually missed that day where there was 5 inches of rain. \u00a0I flew back to Cayman during the second day. \u00a0On final approach to Cayman, we ran into some nasty weather and turbulence. \u00a0The turbulence felt like a roller coaster ; some people on the flight did not enjoy it. \u00a0Anyway, the pilots diverted south and we were in a holding pattern as you can see in the picture below for +-90 minutes. \u00a0After that we were able to make a successful landing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0125.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2943\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0125.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0125\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0125.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0125-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since the pilots decided not to divert to Jamaica and did a great job in some very hairy moments during massive turbulence ; I decided to pop my head into the cockpit upon exiting the plane, just to say thanks for the great job they did. \u00a0To my surprise, they were all chatty and cheerful after what I though was an eventful flight. \u00a0For them it was probably just &#8220;another day at the office.&#8221; They even let me take some selfies. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0127.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2944\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0127.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0127\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0127.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0127-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0128.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2945\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0128.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0128\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0128.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/IMG_0128-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Definitely one of the reasons why I often fly on American Airlines. \u00a0I think it&#8217;s safe to say that all the passengers were pleased to be on the ground. \u00a0We were also planning for a really wet Saturday and of course, we had a lovely dry day \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the last few days we have received copious amounts of rain.
