{"id":2615,"date":"2014-02-23T19:47:37","date_gmt":"2014-02-24T00:47:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?p=2615"},"modified":"2014-02-24T13:17:22","modified_gmt":"2014-02-24T18:17:22","slug":"beautiful-turtles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?p=2615","title":{"rendered":"Beautiful Turtles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have often mentioned Spotts Beach in past posts. \u00a0So here it is again \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>This time however, I brought an underwater camera. \u00a0I am really glad I had it with me, since I was in for a treat ; one that I hope you will also enjoy with the pictures below.<\/p>\n<p>So here is this awesome (hidden) gem of Grand Cayman ; Spotts Beach. Not as majestic as Seven Mile Beach, but quiet and full of marine life as you will see.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/P2230001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2616\" alt=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/P2230001.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/P2230001.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/P2230001-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So in the water I went, armed with that underwater camera.<\/p>\n<p>It was not long before I started to spot a bunch of turtles. On this day I saw 6 different ones during my +-45 minute snorkel. \u00a0Note that water is never much deeper than 10ft (and sometimes less than 5) in this reef protected bay.<\/p>\n<p>Here is what I assume a cute couple.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/P2230022.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2618\" alt=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/P2230022.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/P2230022.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/P2230022-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I managed to get some close up shots with this fellow. \u00a0S\/he was not at all concerned by my presence.
