{"id":2521,"date":"2013-11-30T15:45:51","date_gmt":"2013-11-30T20:45:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?p=2521"},"modified":"2013-11-30T15:45:51","modified_gmt":"2013-11-30T20:45:51","slug":"no-show-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?p=2521","title":{"rendered":"No show!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Once again, the 2013 Hurricane season was a complete no-show. \u00a0Interestingly the so called experts always say, at the beginning of the season that it will be an &#8220;active hurricane season&#8221;. \u00a0Well, not a single system made it into the Caribbean basin and of course nothing ever bothered us. \u00a0Lets keep it that way!<\/p>\n<p>So we have a guest ; a good friend of Julie&#8217;s with us this week. \u00a0She will also run the 1\/2 marathon which is tomorrow (Sunday AM) \u00a0Of course, being great hosts, we have been doing the rounds and seeing the sights. \u00a0Its actually fun since many of the places we take guests, we don&#8217;t often go on our own. \u00a0A bit like asking a New-Yorker when was the last time they went up the Empire State building I guess.<\/p>\n<p>One of the stops : Camana Bay. \u00a0A lovely place to stroll around and spend some time. At the waterfront there is an artificial island (behind the girls &#8230;) which is really nice.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG-20131130-00075.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2528\" alt=\"IMG-20131130-00075\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG-20131130-00075.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG-20131130-00075.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG-20131130-00075-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Next is Spotts beach. \u00a0Valerie &amp; I did some snorkeling and saw 8 (yes eight &#8230;) turtles during a 45 minute outing. \u00a0Awesome. \u00a0If you don&#8217;t get too close, they will just do their thing while you float and watch them.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the two lovely ladies enjoying the beach!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG-20131129-00072.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2527\" alt=\"IMG-20131129-00072\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG-20131129-00072.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG-20131129-00072.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG-20131129-00072-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As a final note, I have noticed many new solar projects being done around the island. \u00a0First, here is a large solar array at Camana Bay,<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG_4417.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2523\" alt=\"IMG_4417\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG_4417.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG_4417.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG_4417-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This second one is the most impressive though. A local bank is covering a whole parking lot with solar panels.
