{"id":2481,"date":"2013-09-08T17:16:51","date_gmt":"2013-09-08T22:16:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?p=2481"},"modified":"2013-09-08T19:44:00","modified_gmt":"2013-09-09T00:44:00","slug":"heating-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?p=2481","title":{"rendered":"Heating up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well &#8230; Hurricane season is certainly in full swing. \u00a0But the good news is that nothing has even come close to the Cayman Islands so far.<\/p>\n<p>Currently there are 3 systems in the Caribbean and Atlantic. \u00a0I am sure there are more to come. Of the three below, none are planned to come near us. \u00a0In fact, of the three below, none are heading for landfall, which is even better.<\/p>\n<p>For those &#8220;keeping score&#8221;, we have not had a close tropical storm\/hurricane since 2008. \u00a0That is certainly a record of some sort?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/storms.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2482\" alt=\"storms\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/storms.jpg\" width=\"469\" height=\"383\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/storms.jpg 469w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/storms-300x244.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 469px) 100vw, 469px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Note the warm water colors above. \u00a0Red is obviously hot. \u00a0Today I went for a dive off Seven Mile Beach. \u00a0Water was 86 degrees (WOW!) \u00a0Needless to say not wet-suit needed. \u00a0However, warm water = bigger storms which is not good.
