{"id":2300,"date":"2013-01-24T20:55:16","date_gmt":"2013-01-25T01:55:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?p=2300"},"modified":"2013-01-24T20:55:16","modified_gmt":"2013-01-25T01:55:16","slug":"its-been-quiet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?p=2300","title":{"rendered":"Its been quiet!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cayman seems to be a very quiet place right now ; and its awesome!<\/p>\n<p>The holidays are over, people are back at work and everything seems to be humming along just nicely. \u00a0 The weather has also been fabulous ; 27-30 every day with low(ish) humidity and very little rain.<\/p>\n<p>So what to do on an awesome week-end and the in-laws are in town again? \u00a0Rum Point of course. \u00a0Funny thing is I only seem to get to that place when we have guests over. \u00a0Last time I was there was probably for my dad&#8217;s visit in the spring. \u00a0I should be ashamed \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Rum Point in all its splendor.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?attachment_id=2301\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2301\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2301\" alt=\"26-IMG_4610\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/26-IMG_4610.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/26-IMG_4610.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/26-IMG_4610-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One cannot come here and not take a picture of the pier ; even though I must have 100 taken over the years, I honestly never get tired of this sight.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?attachment_id=2302\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2302\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2302\" alt=\"39-IMG_4623\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/39-IMG_4623.jpg\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/39-IMG_4623.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/39-IMG_4623-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, this is something that has certainly got my attention and has peaked my curiosity. \u00a0 \u00a0When I was a kid we used to see these kind of contraptions on TV ; a jetpack! \u00a0Flying around with thing on your back : awesome. \u00a0Well, it has now come to Cayman in a watered down (pun intended) version.<\/p>\n<p>Here it is along Seven Mile Beach. \u00a0How \u00a0it works is quite simple. \u00a0 You strap on the jetpack and instead of shooting air out the downward nozzles, it shoots out water. \u00a0To get the water to you (you can go up to 30ft in the air), there is a tube that goes to what essentially looks like a small jetski.
