{"id":193,"date":"2007-07-22T12:00:20","date_gmt":"2007-07-22T17:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?p=193"},"modified":"2007-07-22T12:08:16","modified_gmt":"2007-07-22T17:08:16","slug":"frank-sound-and-the-heat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?p=193","title":{"rendered":"Frank Sound, the heat and Caybrew"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While driving around a while ago, I had noticed a small public beach &#038; cabana sort of area.\u00a0 It looked really nice, so we decided to go there this morning before it got too hot.\u00a0 Between 11am and 5pm, it gets VERY hot now outside.\u00a0 I even washed the car this morning and did some garden maintenance from 8-9am\u00a0before it got too hot.\u00a0We got back from our drive around 11:30 am and the outside temperature (according to the gauge in the car) said it was 34 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>The place we went to is Frank Sound.\u00a0 If you look at a map of Cayman, its on the\u00a0\u00a0southern part (bottom) at about 2\/3 of the way east (right), just near where there is a road which crosses the entire island North\/South.\u00a0 It was a great place to read and just take it easy.\u00a0 Aipa had other ideas and explored the entire area and even went into the water on her own initiative to look around.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Before the pictures below,\u00a0on friday evening, Julie &#038; I went\u00a0with about 50 other people from work to visit Caybrew.\u00a0 Caybrew\u00a0is the\u00a0Cayman\u00a0Islands new local beer.\u00a0 The previous beer, Stingray, was destroyed\u00a0during Hurricane Ivan and had a reputation for a terrible taste anyway. This new one is,\u00a0in my opinion, very good.\u00a0 A bit like a Heineken. The visit was really interesting\u00a0and we got\u00a0to see all the machines for\u00a0making the actual beer all the way to the bottling.\u00a0Anyone who comes to visit us, the company gives tours upon request, so we will for sure take any guests of ours who would like to visit it.\u00a0 Michel?\u00a0 Denis?\u00a0Genevieve?\u00a0\u00a0Here is a very nice article about the new beer which was launched in March of 2007.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cayjournal.com\/logic\/story_detail.php?storyid=195\">http:\/\/www.cayjournal.com\/logic\/story_detail.php?storyid=195<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Below are pictures of the beach at Frank Sound.
