{"id":1689,"date":"2011-08-08T22:39:01","date_gmt":"2011-08-09T03:39:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?p=1689"},"modified":"2011-08-08T22:39:01","modified_gmt":"2011-08-09T03:39:01","slug":"waterspout","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?p=1689","title":{"rendered":"Waterspout"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A regular reader of my blog, Lisa from California, was kind enough to send me a picture she took while vacationing recently on Grand Cayman.\u00a0 An I must say, what a picture it is!\u00a0 WOW<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/IMG_11561.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1691\" title=\"IMG_1156\" src=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/IMG_11561.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"320\" srcset=\"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/IMG_11561.jpg 480w, https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/IMG_11561-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The picture was taken from Seven Mile beach on August 5th, just after lunch time.<\/p>\n<p>Now these things are definitely not rare ; I have seen a few myself.\u00a0 However, this one seems much larger that the ones I have seen.\u00a0 I am guessing this is a mile or so off shore, so its a big one.<\/p>\n<p>I had to do some reading about these things ; actually an interesting phenomenon.
