{"id":130,"date":"2007-04-22T11:54:03","date_gmt":"2007-04-22T16:54:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?p=130"},"modified":"2010-04-17T19:26:08","modified_gmt":"2010-04-18T00:26:08","slug":"welcome-to-miami","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/micho.org\/cayblog\/?p=130","title":{"rendered":"Welcome to Miami"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As many of you know, I seem to be going often to Miami.\u00a0 Miami has become a sort of &#8220;Toronto&#8221; compared to when I was in Montreal.\u00a0 Last week I was again in Miami.\u00a0 Great place!\u00a0 My client has an amazing view from their penthouse offices in one of the tallest buildings in the city.<\/p>\n<p>One thing great about Miami is the shopping.\u00a0 Not that I go to get anything fancy, but its amazing the things we take for granted in North-America.\u00a0 Mundane items such as computer parts, lipsyl, soap\u00a0or plant seeds are either unavailable in Cayman or are 2-3 or even 4 times more expensive.\u00a0 I was in Miami only one nigth last week but took our largest suitcase. When I came back, it was completely full as was my laptop carry-on bag.\u00a0 The Cayman government allows up to bring back duty free 400$ US worth of merchandise for personnal use.\u00a0 So every time I go to Miami, we make a list of stuff\u00a0and I \u00a0got at Walmart or Target.
