Its 6:30am. Its raining mildly, there is some rain and the infamous bush chickens are up & about … going about their regular business. I just went outside quickly and from what I can see its probably not bad at all ; although I am in an area with office buildings. Most of the palms did not lose leaves, some debris on the road. Its all office buildings in this area, so I may not be entirely accurate …
Ill go back out later for some picture and will post some on the way home also. I suspect some areas may be worse than others like for Dean. I have read some reports of flooding in some areas. Also, we did get some high (it sounded high to me) wind in the early morning, so some homes may not have done well.
More to come later this morning
thats soo good to hear…
i was watching the weather channel this morning and i guess its back at a level 3 hurricane..
Micho,
Happy to hear that you could continue to post throught the storm and that you are well. You will get a better perspective once the storm passes and there is more light. I will check back later.
Nick
happy that you’re doing well, and that the storm wasn’t too bad.
Contente de voir que tout va bien pour toi ce matin! Certains n’auront probablement pas cette chance (Cayo Largo, ile de la Jeunesse, Pinar del Rio, etc.). Gustav semble vraiment potentiellement dangeureux. 🙁
Micho,
I am listening to radio Cayman and I hear that the sister islands did not fair too well. It looks like they got the worst of it.
Micho,
Thanks for the updates. Glad to see you made it through OK. My fiancee went to St. Matthews on Grand Cayman, and even though she’s since returned to the states 2 years ago, you guys are like a home away from home for us, so we were watching this closely, even up here in Washington, D.C. God bless!
